This is a proposal for an artist's little retreat house with a structure made of steel and wood.

The term ‘MONO’, written in capital letters, indicates the single-volume, monolithic nature of the residential unit and is borrowed from the world of automotive design, which continually inspires the studio's projects.

It is designed to be placed outside the chaotic and fast metropolis to rest, enjoy life and relax, recharge the batteries, ready for a bunch of new adventures in the city.

Very minimal, designed with shiny and metallic colours on the outside, but filled with warm materials and colours nuances on the inside, all essential comfort is included and it is raised one floor form the ground, where only the main entrance is placed, so that a sensation of complete independence and detachment from the vibrancy of everyday life is perceived by its guests.

Technologically, it features sustainable and renewable energy devices and solutions like integrated solar panels, a photovoltaic system and the use of the natural ventilation for an almost complete off-grid experience.
